Welcome to my blog, EchoesofWonder. I am Arjun Rajaram, a 13-year-old nonspeaking poet and advocate for disability rights in Tampa, Florida. I know what you’re thinking; “nonspeaking, then how does he have this awesome and insightful blog?!” Well, I’ll tell you! 

I communicate by pointing to letters on an alphabet-board or keyboard, spelling out each word I wish to relay. I did not always have this method of communication, but now that I do, it must be used to foster change. I created this blog to share my experiences as a nonspeaker with the world; raising awareness to the tribulations others like me face is crucial to the development of reform. 

I am more than a nonspeaker; I am a poet, an advocate, an analytical writer, a rock climber, sailor, swimmer, and—would you believe it—even more! I’m so incredibly grateful for the ability to share who I am with you, and I hope for my words to open doors leading to the same for other nonspeakers, too.
